Sharlie "Granny" Sanders, 86 ,  of Ben Wheeler, TX passed away peacefully on January 05, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Sharlie grew up in [San Antonio ,Tx. ], a town they loved Before moving to Ben Wheeler. She raised three daughters and had a son. For years she raised her grandchildren and a few great grandchildren as well as great/great grandchildren and enjoyed being with family. Granny was born in San Antonio, Tx. She went to the school of the blind then went to college to teach blind children. Granny got married in 1960 to an army brat we know as papaw/Shorty. they were married almost 57 years. now they are back together.

Sharlie will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Sharlie was predeceased by [Daughters; Beth Kifer, Mary Johnston,  Husband  Harold Sanders and son Raymond Sanders]. She is survived by [Daughter; Peggy Sanders, Grandchildren;  Wylie Mayne , Sharron Johnston, Joey Johnston, Bobbie Baker, Jamie Kifer and Terri Griffin.  12 great Grandchildren and 9 great/great grandchildren. ] Sharlie requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Sharlie’s loved ones to join us in celebrating Granny's beautiful life.
