Not a day goes by that I don’t think of my lifelong best friend Sharleen and want to talk to her and give her a big hug. I so miss her everyday that my heart breaks! Sending prayers to all that loved her!

Sharleen was an earth angel & now is watching over us as a heavenly angel. We miss her so much! Thank God we were able to spend lots of quality time together for holidays & vacations. Much love to our Kilgore/Lumbard families & all our dear friends.

Sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to everyone that met and got to know Sharleen. I volunteered with Project Sentinel and saw Sharleen's hard work in action. She was always so warm and inviting. I will miss her.

Like many of us, shock and disbelief cannot merely touch the surface. Sharleen and I worked very closely, remotely, she in CA and I in GA, so I saw her pretty face and wonderful smile at least twice a month, sometimes more, on a monthly basis for the past 2 years. In fact, we met just days prior. Although colleagues between Project Sentinel and BALANCE, Sharleen and I became friends and often spoke of her husband, mother and grandchildren. Please accept our deepest condolences and love extended to all. She was a joy to work with and will be deeply missed. My heart is still very heavy.

I am so sorry to hear about Sharleen’s unexpected passing. I worked with her and Project Sentinel. She was a wonderful advocate for affordable housing and worked tirelessly to help others. She was also very kind and good hearted. I admired her dedication to her family. My condolences to her family.

I was so stunned to know that Sharleen is no longer in this physical world. However, she is with us in another dimension. I wish to embrace the good she brought to us. She left a Big Shoe Print with Project Sentinel "Housing Counseling Director". Her shoes will be difficult to fill. I am grateful to have known her.

I am saddened to hear of Sharleen’s passing. I am the next door neighbor to the west…please let me know if there is anything I can do to help your family. Sending love and light.

It is with great sadness and shock that I continue to assimilate the news of Sharleen's passing. Regrettably, I was only able to know Sharleen for a short time, since February when I first started as Project Sentinel's new Executive Director. Nonetheless, her energy, ideas, passion, and deep knowledge and devotion to her work and family were readily apparent, as was the deep respect in which she was and is held, both inside and outside Project Sentinel. She was a life force that will continue as an echo in our work and as the spirit with which we honor and embrace her legacy.
I send by heartfelt condolences during this most challenging time to you all and extend my wishes for comfort among family and friends in the times ahead.

I can’t believe the world has lost such a kind and generous soul. I worked with Sharleen at Project Sentinel for 10 years and grew to have tremendous respect for her and her commitment to the important work she did over those years. What a loss for the family and community. I’m so very sorry.

Dear Brian, I don't know if you remember I met your mum on my last visit to CA in 2015 at a July 4th BBQ in Penngrove. I vividly recall her vivacious personality and her devotion to your then small boys. I'm terribly sorry for your loss. X
