Shao Wei Mok, 89, passed away on June 15, 2022 at Brooklyn, New York. She was our beloved mother and Gramma, a truly prominent figure in our lives. She was known to be a bright and welcoming soul to all who came to know her. Putting her family first, she made sure that we were all happy and content with our everyday lives; making sure warm food was served, seasonal fruits were eaten, and that our lives were healthy.

We will remember Gramma as a bright role model; not only for us as her grandchildren but also among those who loved her. Gramma was an amicable person who was able to socialize with anybody, even those who were outside her language barrier. Her friends, neighbors, relatives, family all knew her for her radiant smile, which had always spread positivity, supportiveness, and love. Her simple lifestyle was filled with happy days in the senior daycare, playing mahjong from dusk till dawn with her friends, old and new alike.

She was hardworking to the bone, and taught us our efforts will never be in vain. As her grandchildren, we could only be honored to have been raised by our Gramma. She was meticulous in her work and hobbies; stories of her early years in New York were such proof.

Although Gramma's passing was a devastating and sudden loss for all of us, we find some comfort in knowing that she was at one of the happiest times of her life. She did not suffer any major ailments at the time of her passing. Please keep her in your hearts and cherish the memories you may have with our Gramma, Shao Wei.
