I met precious Shannon when she lived in New Orleans about 2000?? She and our son Greg were friends. She was such a talented painter and finisher that when my husband and I bought a condo at River Edge in Telluride we hired Shannon to fly up with me to do her magic on the walls, floors, cabinets and counters there. I was designing and having furniture built at that time and we built some things for the condo that had some odd angles and had a sisal rug made to fit the space, etc. When we were trying to figure out shipping the furnishings from NO to Telluride Shannon offered to drive a Uhaul truck up if we would let her put her furniture on the back of it. She had fallen in love with Colorado and had decided to leave New Orleans for the beauty and serenity of the mountains! We think it was 2001? She fell right into place in CO and lived in a few different places over the years but we managed to get her back to NO when we bought and did the buildout on a condo in a high-rise and she did the most incredible wall finishing in the entry hallway! After Katrina in 2005 we stayed in NO for a couple of years before deciding to move to Baton Rouge 80 miles away. Again we called upon Shannon to do some of her magic again in our home we moved into in 2007. She glazed the walls in our bedroom and did another incredible finish on our bathroom walls and we loved her company for a week or so while here. We saw Shannon whenever we were in CO - always for the annual Telluride Film Festival - and when she was living and working in Ridgway for the last many years I always drove over and met her for lunch and a visit. Our last time working together was for 2 weeks in April of 2022 when my husband and I bought a small condo in New Orleans and hired Shannon to once again do her magic on the walls there. She and I had a ball picking out the multiple colors she combined for the wall finishes and shopping for furniture and other things for our new little place. We even spent a long day at Jazz Fest before she flew back to CO! The last time I saw Shannon was my last visit to Telluride for Film in September 2022... I will miss her smiling, loving, compassionate soul for the rest of my life. I know she must be having a lovely time joining her friends and furry friends who have gone before her. I will share some great photos of her and her beautiful work over the years!

I met Shannon this past Summer on a girls trip to Palm Desert. Like everyone we instantly hit it off. She was someone you instantly loved and felt close too. We have kept in touch as she walked through this last journey. I concur with all the sentiments that she was an angel amongst us. Rest in Peace as one of the brightest stars in the heavens. I’ll be looking up to see you in the peaceful night sky. I love you.

Oh Shan, I can't believe you're gone so soon! I was so looking forward to our future travels and shenanigans with Dani (as you call her). You greeted me with an open heart from the moment we met, and you have such an easy and kind and loving way about you that it always feels good to be around you. You must have been in so much pain the last time I saw you and I didn't even know it. I'm so glad we started to get closer before you got this devastating news, and I'm glad for the sweetness we shared as your body was closing down. I'm grateful we became friends. I definitely wish the world could have had many more years of you. Hugs and love Shannon <3

She is the most beautiful person I’ve met inside and out. She has such a real loving, truthful, kind spirit, one that I will never forget. She was truly just an angel here on earth.

I met Shannon while she worked at the coolest store in ridgeway. We really connected. I adored her energy and we just clicked. We stayed in touch and I saw her anytime I came through town. She told me of her battle the last trip and we shared a special time with a true angel who walked in the store. I only knew her casually but truly loved her. She was so special. She loved my dogs and was such a good person. Forever missed 🫶🏻🥺
