I enjoyed my luncheons with Shannon; I would stop by her shop on Samson Street and we would talk about family and go out to lunch. They were very rememberable times.

Deepest sympathies to Callan and the family. I knew Shannon when we worked together at TALK OF THE TOWN in Cherry Hill and then when we became close friends at Temple University. She was always the life of the party, a fun-loving and special person. Gone too soon.

I knew Shannon since grade school. We shared some good laughs over the years.  I’ll always remember her great smile and laugh. My condolences to her family. Rest in peace, Shannon.

Our deepest sympathies, Callum and family.   It’s been over 50 years since Shannon and I hung around.  In fact she was on a ski trip to Lake George NY with me when I met my husband.   Distance and time, we never stayed connected but she is always a constant in our lives since Shannon approached my husband (back then he was a ski tour guide) and asked if he wanted a drink (this was just coffee, soda, or hot chocolate).    He thought we were two forward broads from Philadelphia 😂😂😂   But he accepted the drink offer This was February 14, 1970.    We were both shocked to hear the news since we bring Shannon’s name up whenever someone asks “how did you meet”.    In fact, the picture of Shannon (in turtle neck) posted in the obituary array of pictures is from that trip (I believe I’m the woman on the left.).    From reading all the condolences (many posted in our McDevitt Facebook page)  she never changed— always the caring, fun loving person.  Our thoughts and prayers   Terry and Helen Scanlon
I was in awe when I heard the news of Shannon's passing. She has been a family friend for over 30 years, I met Shannon when I was a young girl and became friends with her daughter Callan. Shannon was always so great to me and treated me with so much love, as if I were her own. I am honored to say that I have had the pleasure to have so many great memories with her and her family and am truly sad to hear about her passing. She has left an amazing and unforgettable impression and I am blessed to have had a true angel in my life. I send my condolences to Callan and the rest of Shannon’s family. I love you Shannon, may you rest in peace..Love Always, Kimberly Seeley and Family
Praying for you and your family 🙏🙏🙏
I cannot believe this ! I just found out right now. I am Beatriz and Shannon saved my life! Luisa , my daughter went to school with Callan and that is how we met! Shannon was a saviour to me during this dif time of my life! She came over and did everything in her power to help me and better my lifE ! She was made of steel and her force of love and life was like a volcano! Her love for Callan is legendary, her generosity as a human being with her joy and humanity. On top of all this she is a beauty, I refuse to write her in the past tense because she is alive in my life and in my memory! I love you Callan!
