Shannon's obituary
It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Shannon DeGuire, a cherished wife, devoted mother, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who left this world far too soon. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and grace that will echo through generations.
Shannon is survived by her loving husband, Daniel J. DeGuire IV, with whom she shared a bond built on unwavering love, partnership, and laughter. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and resilience, raising three remarkable children — Daniel V, Matthew, and Taylor — each of whom carries a piece of her extraordinary spirit, wit, and boundless heart.
She was the treasured daughter of Rodney and Patricia Derosier, whose guidance and love shaped the strong, compassionate woman she became. Her bond with her parents was unshakable, rooted in deep respect and shared joy. She is also survived by her brother, David, and his wife, Leah, with whom she shared a lifelong friendship enriched by memories, support, and unwavering sibling loyalty.
Family was everything to Shannon, and her light extended beyond immediate relations. Her love was magnetic — she had the rare ability to make anyone feel at home in her presence. Whether it was through her laughter, her listening heart, or her uncanny sense of humor, she made life fuller for everyone who knew her. Anyone who met her, loved her.
A celebration of life will be held on June 20th from 3:00 – 9:00 at the French Club on Wilson Street in Jewett City, where friends and family will gather to honor and remember her extraordinary life.
She lived beautifully, loved fiercely, and leaves behind a world made better by her presence.
Rest in peace, dearest Shannon. Your light shines on in all of us.
