I'm a previous student of Dr. Callahan. Her classes are engaging and she was always willing to answer my questions during office hour. I am shocked when I learned that she passed away. I would always appreciate her for her wonderful lectures and insightful guidance.Β
I knew Shannon as my professor of Social Psychology in the spring semester of 2020. I adored her as my professor and admired her as a human being. This semester was interrupted by the Covid outbreak and Shannon recorded all of her lectures with just as much vibrancy and enthusiasm as she delivered in class. She was so creative and thought of so many different ways of communicating each theory to get through to diverse groups of students. I am crushed to learn she is no longer with us and my heart is with her family. She was stolen from this planet far too early. I currently have my notebook full from her class on my lap that I love to look back on and re-educate myself from. Shannon is a huge inspiration to me and will forever remain impactful to me and countless others.Β
I had Shannon as a professor and was extremely fond of her and told her every class how much I appreciated her bubbly energetic personality . She was a humanized professor and treated her student as such.Β I came looking for her for a letter of recommendation and was so shocked and saddened by this. Shannon made education a better and fun place to be...always with a smile on her face. She will be missed greatly.Β
