Shanita was a human sparkle. Generous, hilarious and full of joy with a rare ability to make everything better just by being part of it. We worked together for far too short of a time, but long enough for me to see and embrace a kindred spirit. When she was in the mix, I knew two things would be true: what we collaborated on would be excellent, and we’d laugh. A lot.I loved the way she talked about her beloved husband Greg and how beautifully she honored the memory of her mama. I loved her quirky humor and our quick connection over niche pop culture obsessions (Laszlo forever). I loved her rapid-fire ability to build a playlist with THE perfect deep cut inspired by a passing conversation. I admired her ability to offer support, sometimes before I even knew I needed it. This gal was one heck of a special human. She was a blessing, her memory will be a blessing and I will miss her deeply. Much love. <3

This is heartbreaking news. Shanita was such a bright, loving soul. I only got to know her for a short time, but she was remarkable and delightful and she always spoke of her family with such pride and happiness. My heart goes out to you all.
