Born in New York City, Shamiya spent her entire life in the city, surrounded by the hustle and bustle that inspired her creativity. She attended Millennium High School on Broad Street in New York, where she graduated in 2000. From there, Shamiya embarked on a fulfilling career as a hairstylist. She became a sought-after professional, transforming people's hair and bringing joy to her customers through her artistry.
Aside from her noteworthy career, Shamiya loved to spend her free time perfecting her craft and having a good time with her friends She was a true master of her crafts, always creating beautiful pieces for her friends, family, and local community. Her love for the arts and her innate creativity were apparent in everything she did.
Shamiya Davis is survived by her granddaughter, Armani Louge, who will miss her deeply. Shamiya's legacy of love, creativity, and passion for life will live on in Armani and those who had the privilege of knowing her.
