Sevaughn's obituary

Sevaughn Green, or “ScrewLoose,” 43, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Johnnie W. Skinner Sr., pastor, and Dr. Rev. Vivian Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at their grandmother’s home on Tuesday afternoon.

Born August 13, 1981, in Ft. Benning, GA, to Nathan Green and Marquita Walton, Sevaughn graduated from Austin-East High School and was saved at Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was a devoted father, loving partner, cherished son, and loyal friend.

He is survived by his partner, Leah Richardson; son, Solomon Green; chosen daughter, Asia Richardson; and niece, Shanyia Green. He also leaves behind siblings Syreeta Dickerson Vaughn (Clarence), Krystal Dickerson, David Watson (Katherine), Christina Garner Cates (Isaiah), and Mil-Lindsey Williams; uncles Lafe Figgars (Sylvia) and Emille Figgars; aunt Crystal Stokes (Bruce); and many other loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marva Floyd Softly and Oscar Walton; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Erma Figgars; parents, Marquita Walton and Nathan Green Sr.; brother, Nathan Green Jr.; aunt Jeanette (Walton) Hill; and uncle Darryl Figgars.

Arrangements are by the family.
