Happy heavenly birthday tomorrow Seth Lee! You are certainly missed! I am still in Alaska and Hawaii. I miss you calling to check up as you were certainly a big brother to me. I miss the days I got upset with you beating me in pickleball in AZ…a game I watched you learn from day one and like most things you were involved in…always succeeded quickly so was never surprised you caught on quick to pickleball and started winning. I miss calling each other out, your music playlist out on the courts,  I miss the days you would randomly call to vent and have no idea how much I needed to talk to someone at that same time, I miss your humor, your vulnerability about what was really going on as always kept things real.

I always loved to hear the enormous love you had for your family. It’s been an honor to be called your friend as you were one of a kind. You will always be remembered and never forgotten. Happy Heavenly Birthday Seth Lee 🙏🏻  we talked about your dad and my mom often and now I’m sure you just met my dad. Thank you for being a big brother to me in this gift of life. I speak of you often in the rooms as your spirit is missed here on earth. “Spiritual beings having a human experience” indeed. Godspeed 🙏🏻

Bro Seth. I was thinking about you today. Some of the most meaningful words I ever heard spoken…. Long  before you went onto heaven.  “I get to spend time with a power greater than myself”. We all knew you were talking about God but none of us thought your time would come so soon.  We miss you Seth and I still pick up a pink donut per your request for the Saturday men’s group.  Rest well good friend.
I think about Seth all the time he brought so much fun and energy to everyone!  He was constantly trying help so many different causes whether it was coaching his kids and all young people. Raising money and also putting in the time, not just donating money.  He was one of a kind, it also shows you how strong addiction can be.  God rest his soul!

I was attending a racing event in Scottsdale many moons ago, I would always get to hang out with Seth usually when I would attend racing events.  We had the same owner friend of a team racing.  One night I had too much to drink, Seth made sure I got back to my hotel safe.  The next morning he called me early and said I can’t believe you puked all over the club last night, I was mortified, I didn’t remember that, I hung my head and walked down to the lobby to meet up for breakfast where he told me he was just kidding!  I was so glad he was kidding.  He was a fun guy to be around!  He got me good!  When I think about those stories, I realize now that I definitely had a drinking problem, I just didn’t know when to quit ever.  I’ve been sober for over a year.  I don’t think anyone ever knows what others are going thru or where their struggles are.  I know he was on the sober track but it shows how easily we can make a mistake and slip up.  It’s not worth it, for me I realized it started with the first sip, it always led to another.  Seth you’ll never be forgotten!

I first met Seth in August 2023 at our IOP rehab. My other friend was finishing up IOP and I needed to find a new way to get to class. I asked Seth if he could pick me up an take me to class. He said yep sure can, got my number right there and we talked everyday til the end. You later text me that day and said be ready at 6am I'm going to pick you up. I said class doesn't start til 9am why so early? He replied just be ready and im taking you somewhere before class. He picked me up and took me to Big Bookworms AA meeting at 630. We would then over the next few months become amazing friends. He gave me rides, advice, friendship, brotherly love and most importantly his time. He called me everyday sometimes multiple times a day to check on me and plus me in. He showed me how to have fun in sobriety. He was such a a character, just like me with a Big Ego and Manly pride. This man did amazing things for me and never once asked for anything in return but to just keep answering my phone when he called. For the little amount I got to with him, he showed me that sobriety is cool and that he struggled daily just like me. He would shortly after introduce me to Hailey, Nate, Anisha and his grandson and many others in the program. We were maniacs in sobriety leaning on each other for help. I don't think he will ever know what it meant to me. I still miss you everyday buddy. I love you brother and look at the sky at least once a day and remember all the laughter and love he added to my life. In a few short months I would have to say he was my best friend. Thank you my friend for helping me!
I remember uncle Seth every time I go around a-roundabout in my car. Of the few times we encountered a roundabout when he came and visited he would say “one more time!” and then proceeded to go through the circle several times by the end of it my brothers and I would be so dizzy we could puke.
I was getting my suitcase and…

Nate, Hailey and Anisha:  Seth’s Celebration of Life was very beautiful.  We are honored to know each of you.  May God bless Seth and all of you.
My condolences to the family! Wishing you well going forward!

My heart is broken and sad at the loss of Seth from this world.  He helped so many guys in our recovery fellowship!! He shared with such a dry sense of humor and he was REAL.  My heart goes out to his wife and children who he loved to the moon.  God bless you all.

He will be remembered for a long long time and always with a smile and love in our hearts.  RIP Seth!
