It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the passing of Sereno Aguilera-Escobar. A virtuoso of life, Sereno departed from this world on January 19, 2026, concluding an incredible journey that began on September 12, 1942.
Sereno was a man whose personality was as expansive and diverse as the world itself. A trickster and a joker, he brightened the lives of those around him with his ebullient spirit and good-natured humor. Yet, his playful exterior hid a deeply caring and loving individual who cherished his family and friends with profound devotion.
Known for his passionate advocacy for the environment, Sereno consistently imparted the lesson of caring for our planet. His dedication to the cause and his passion for ecology sparked a commitment to environmental stewardship in those around him. This passion was a beacon of guidance to his loved ones, and a significant part of his powerful legacy.
Among his many accomplishments, Sereno placed the highest value on the relationships he cultivated with his family. His proudest achievement was his grandchildren. Surviving Sereno is his son, Oliver Escobar, his daughter, Diana Tovar, and his beloved grandchildren, Sebastian Price, Juan Tovar, Korina Escobar, and Marie Tovar. Each of them embody parts of his vibrant spirit, ensuring that his legacy will live on.
