Seb was my teaching assistant when I resumed teaching FNCE 7510 — The Finance of Buyouts and Acquisitions — after a long hiatus, and I had the privilege of getting to know him during that time. He was not only an outstanding TA but also a truly wonderful human being.

I am deeply saddened and shaken by this loss. At this stage of life, it is especially difficult to come to terms with the passing of someone so young and so remarkable as Seb.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and friends.

May he rest in peace.

RIP brother. Will miss your warmth and hospitality. Lance Klusener forever!
You were gone too soon my brother. I pray for your soul and for your family to heal. God bless
Sebastian was my roomie for a year in Stellenbosch, Simonsberg, where I really got to know him well. He was a very hard-working individual who also always made time for his friends. His energy made tough days feel easier. I will miss you champ!

There are so many things that I can say about my “bro bro” Seb. He was, above all, loyal and compassionate towards all living things, humans and animals alike. The weekend we took this photo perfectly illustrates this. In the beginning of grad school, as we were getting to know each other, a bunch of us decided to go see the fall colors in mountains of Virginia. The first night we got there a couple of our friends got into a crash trying to pull their car out of a ditch. I remember him and me rushing to the scene (half a mile down the road) and making sure everyone was okay and safe, he even checked if animals were harmed on the road and in the ditch. In just a short period of time, he treated everyone like he was their own and I’ll forever remember this act of kindness and the way he approached everyone with warmth and optimism. Miss you man!

Sebby Seb,

I will not pretend that we were ever close, but your authenticity, quirkiness and kindness will be my memory of you. May your passing be a blessing 🙏

Your beautiful soul has been taken too soon, and my sincerest thoughts and condolences are with your loved ones.

Rest easy, my bru,

Jeffy Jeff

Seb was kind, caring and super fun to be around. He had the magic to make us laugh and to lift the weight from any moment. He always lit up the room with his wit, his warmth and his charm.

Seb, my brother in Christ, you will be deeply deeply missed. Thank you for sharing those moments in your life with us, which will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace. Our hearts and prayers are with your family.
