Sean Richard Muir of Woodinville, Washington passed peacefully in his sleep on March 18, 2025.

Sean was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 10, 1969 and is survived by his wife, Joanna (Mead) Muir, her daughter, Morgan Mead, his mother and father Barbara and Keith Muir, his brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Nicole Muir, and nephew, Ethan J Muir.

Sean lived in Lambertville, Michigan and graduated from Bedford High School. He attended University of Toledo, Cleveland State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bowling Green State University in Physical Fitness. While at BGSU he was a member of the cheer team and was focused on physical and mental wellbeing.

Sean fell in love with the Seattle area while visiting a friend and decided to make it his home. His love of the diversity, beautiful nature, and accessible hiking, camping and water adventures made it perfect for his personal interests and goals.

In 2015 Sean and Joanna married in Bellingham, Washington and over the years,  took advantage of the Seattle area with camping, kayaking and hiking. He joined Valve, the company for which he enjoyed working in the area of physical fitness with the employees. Sean often said it was the perfect job for him because it afforded him the opportunity to work with extraordinary people from around the world. He recently enjoyed trips back to Michigan to hunt with his brother, father, nephew, and family friends.

Sean was known for his infectious smile, good nature, willingness to listen and to share his belief of the importance of physical fitness.
