Scott's obituary
Scott Dean Warner, 67 passed away peacefully at home Thursday, January 12, 2023. His family takes comfort in knowing that he was welcomed into the arms of Jesus.
Scott was born March 22, 1955 to Jack and Darlene Warner in Ontario, California. Born into a military family, Scott moved a lot, but always felt at home in Iowa where his grandparents lived. Scott began working at Shreveport Tom's/Wilmore Snack Sales at the age of 20 where he served the company loyally for 47 years.
Scott married his wife, Sharon, in Bossier City, Louisiana on April 24, 1976. They welcomed daughters, Jaimie Michelle and Julie Renee and later sons-in-law, Andrew Mercer and Caylan Dowden. Scott was promoted to the position of Papa with the arrival of grandchildren.
Scott enjoyed fixing things whether it was vending machines, old cars, or computers. He took pleasure in yard work, watching the birds, and collecting vintage items. Most of all he loved Jesus, “his girls,” and his grandkids. Scott will be remembered for his sense of humor, spending time with family and friends, and sending JibJab videos for birthdays and holidays.
