Scott lived nearby and on occasion could be found sampling homemade chili or double-fudge chocolate chip cookies in Mom Donnelly's kitchen. In a not-so-rare moment of stupidity, we would refer to dinner table items (and each other) 'backwards' (tlas for salt, reppep. pass the rettub). Scott was Ttocs Krabnefir was. I was Truk and brother was Nek. One week in early summer Scott and I put a new roof on the home build by our construction class (Mr. Clark). Scott could build anything. His brother Steve sat on the ridge with the rope tied around him (to keep us from falling) all while playing a mean blues harmonica....hope the house is still standing overlooking Fremont Jr. High. Happy to have had the chance to reconnect with Scott, Nancy(Fullerton IV classmate) and daughter Kristi's these last few years while helping out with a dream to build a new home in Mexico near their bar in Belize. Scott was a true gentlemen and one of the kindest, gentlest human beings you will ever meet. I wish we'd have reconnected earlier, but I'll cherish the time and the memories we have. Thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy and the family. RIP Scott

I was blessed when someone put Scott on my team at Intel. He was always so laid-back and just so sweet and kind and genuine. I always thought he was really exotic because he would go to Belize and live and work out of his bar or his hotel and would tell me fabulous stories about where I what I would call work life balance. I am blown away about what’s happened to him. There are so few people who are consistently gentle and genuine. I wish there
were more Scotts and I’m terribly sorry we lost the original. Godspeed Scott. I wish I had known you outside of work. :) I’m sure I could’ve conned you into wrangling sheep.
Friends in our early lives, fond memories of being put to work helping Ray build his home on Shasta Lane with Scott, Steve, and my brother, Kurt. Age 12 or 13. Also many good times at the Keasey Street home recreation room listening to music. RIP my friend.

Such wonderful memories of spending time at their homes while growing up and at Tenmile Lake during the summers. Scotty was like another brother to me and those Rifenbark/Gregory gatherings were always special! Prayers for comfort to Nancy, Sue, and all of your family. Rest In Peace Scott.
Just started to get to know Scott in the last couple years, after his dad's passing. Despite growing up, knowing of him, living pretty close to him in Roseburg, playing football together in high school. He, myself and Mitch Hanan were the ball handlers for the field goal unit on the football team. Scott snapped it, I held it, Mitch kicked it. Dude was spot on! Never had to move my hands to catch a snap, practice or game. Scott was best center in the state! Anyway, football aside, never got to know Dude back then. What I discovered when I reached out after his dad's passing, was a man so accomplished, so humble, who moved, and moved among, and moved, so many people. Yes I meant to write "and moved" twice. Just felt blessed to have had this time. Love to Scott, you moved me, lifted me up! Love and healing for his wonderful family.
So sorry for to hear of Scott's passing. The world will be a lesser place without him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Scott and family.
Rest In Peace young brother. Prayers to Sue and the entire extended family.

I remember up at Mckenzie bridge Scott & his brother Steve showed me how to play poker. We gambled with peanuts we were probably 14 or 15 years old. A good memory

Scott Rifenbark --- Scotty --- was a fun loving down to earth guy as you can see here -- he was also a businessman who started and managed two businesses, as well as managing a team of 30 or more employees inside of Intel. Most of these recognitions are from people in "real life" ... here are some "inside corporate world" (Intel). We crossed paths in mid-late '90s and were and are of the same mind .. our shared vision of corporate wide solution for Technical Communications was a good 30 years ahead of time ,,, Scott was an expert in his business, and extremely successful. Such a pure soul .. and a creative intellectual mind. I would feel honored to claim Scotty as my brother.

So sorry to hear about Scott’s passing. I was his younger brother Steve best friend, so I have lots of memories of Scott. I remember his practicing his guitar in his bedroom at their house on Shasta Ct. I also remember him and his Jeep pickup that he fixed up. I would always see it parked at the high school since I lived right by there. I always loved the whole Rifenbark family, they always made me feel like part of the family.

I'm grateful Scott moved back to Roseburg when he did. I found a true musical partner. We just clicked musically. It’s a great thing when that happens. It must be a family thing because the same thing happened with Kristi when she moved to Roseburg and joined us. The greatest joy I’ve experienced these past several years was playing music with Scott and Kristi. We had many wonderful experiences together. I’ll never forget when our band , WBR, put on a private concert for Scott’s dad Ray. Ray had no idea how good Scott was. It brought great joy to me to see Ray’s face and his reactions to the music, to Scott’s playing and singing. Ray passed soon after. I will surely miss him. Scott and I also connected as fathers. We both were great family men. Scott was a great father and parent. Great Respect for that.

Was privileged to have had Scott as a 6 th Grade student 50 years ago. Was even more privileged to reconnect with him just last year in a most serendipitous circumstance. We had some great reminiscences and “what ever happened to” stories. I’m so glad to have these new memories with a person who seemed to have grown into “ a man in full” in every sense of the word.
My wife and I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
