Scott was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1959 and was adopted by Bill and Nancy Hunter shortly afterwards. He was the oldest of three Hunter children and attended elementary, middle, and high school in Los Alamitos, CA. Scott was musically talented and was a gifted trumpet player.
