Scott's obituary
Scott Hall Huffaker suddenly passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 67, He was born on January 31, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas.
Scott grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and was active in sports and the Boy Scouts. He was blessed with athletic talent and excelled at baseball and football. Scott received Player of the Year, 2 years in a row for baseball. When his family moved to Utah, the football coaches were very impressed with his outstanding skills. They had him play offense as a running back and defense as a linebacker. The coaches also asked Scott to help teach the other players the skills he had come with from Kansas. As Scott grew up, he became a salesman. He could "sell ice to the Eskimo's". He sold metal buildings to famers and was exceptional at selling cars. Scott also had a great knack for playing poker and actually made money. However, his greatest joy was his two children, Spencer and Lily. He also enjoyed his two, very large dogs, the Chiefs and KU Jayhawks. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Homer I Huffaker, Grandfather Homer H Huffaker and his wife Jane I Huffaker. Scott is survived by many who loved him dearly including his two children, Spencer H Huffaker and Lily Huffaker, his mother Joan States, his best friend and brother Ron Huffaker (Beth), brothers Mike States (Colleen), Jon Huffaker (Debbie), Ritchie Huffaker (Anna Beth), Mike Huffaker (Maureen), and sister Candi Huffaker-Moore (Bill), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Scott's life will take place on Saturday January 4, 2025, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. It will be held at StoneBriar Farm, 9035 Edgerton Rd. De Soto, KS 66018
