So sorry to hear of Scott's passing . He became a very special friend after meeting at my aunt's home. He was around through the deaths of my own father ,my grandmother and my uncle and helped me through some very tough times from them til his passing. He was always straight forward , told me how it was and helped me when no one else would. He was a very good person who loved his family more than life itself. I will miss him as I already do and it saddens me that he's not hear to talk to me about aliens lol.
TIL WE MEET AGAIN SCOTT ,REST IN PEACE . YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN AND FOREVER IN MY HEART

Scott and I met in the 4th grade. He was always fun to be around and we had many grade and middle school shenanigans together. We used to get a big group of us to go to the river and eat snacks and light a fire and play music. You can’t really do that kind of thing anymore - our childhoods were blessed. We were frequent visitors at each other’s houses. As we grew into high school we were still friends and I think we actually had an after school job at the same place. He was always moving and smiling. We always passed each other with a “hi” and a smile :) I miss that smile.
Rest in peace, Scott

Scott was one of the most compassionate giving people I have ever known. I was recently widowed with 7 kids, when someone recommended him to me for affordable mechanics work. Over the last 15 years he was not just our family mechanic but friend. As each of my kids grew up and got cars, he continued to be their go too, even when his cancer prohibited some types of work he was always available for advice and to say, "don't let them charge you too much" he was someone that was truly happy for you when something happened, a huge grin, and a THATS GREAT!! I know in the beginning he never charged me what he should have, but always with a smile and say you and those kids need to be safe. Get me a case of pop, was sometimes the trade.
My granddaughter who is now 12, would run in the house and say SCOTT'S HERE. It wasn't until we became Facebook friends several years ago I even knew his last name. It was always just mechanic Scott around the house. Just a week or so before he passed we text and he told me I feel way better and back to working on cars, send them my way! His biggest smiles and always conversations were about his daughter and grandkids. My heart just breaks for them. He was one of a kind, and I know heaven has all the soda he can drink up there! I will miss our afternoon talks, sitting in the shade watching downtown traffic go by. I will miss him, he was a true friend
