Scott's obituary

Scott Alan Egan was born July 31, 1951 at Walter Read Army Medical Center, the oldest of 5 siblings. His parents were Paul F.G. Egan, a retired Lt. Col. in the Air Force and Margaret A. Egan. He attended Hampton High School, Class of 1969. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and then joined the military where he was a spec ops soldier most of his adult life. First as a sniper, then Special Forces Medical NCO; served all over the world throughout the cold war, southwest Asia and east Africa since then; also Medical Technologist. Microbiologist, MPH. He received his Phd in the PA program from Washington University. Scott worked for three years for the Salvation Army Midland Division and for the last seven years at New Life Evangelistic Center. Scott was an advocate for the homeless and a member of the Metro St. Louis Coalition for the Homeless. He is survived by four sons and 3 siblings, Peter, Jean Egan and Robert Boken, Nancy Schmitt (predeceased), Kathy Effron and Morris.
