Jean Egan

Scott was my older brother. He was a kind and caring soul. He was highly intelligent and had a tender heart. At age 8 he was the navigator as our mother drove the then four children to join our father in Texas. Dad had been in Korea for the second time in the Air Force, he came home on leave, but then he had to report for duty in Texas before the school year ended. Mom stayed in Western Pennsylvania until Scott and Pete finished their school year. That was a lot of responsibility for an 8 year old but he helped get us there with his map reading skills while Mom drove. He was a gifted medical technician and understood Microbiology inside and out. He wrote poetry and painted, he liked history and was a good first-born son. I always looked up to him when we were growing up. I loved him very much. May he rest in peace.
