Scott Alan Egan was born July 31, 1951 at Walter Read Army Medical Center, the oldest of 5 siblings. His parents were Paul F.G. Egan, a retired Lt. Col. in the Air Force and Margaret A. Egan. He attended Hampton High School, Class of 1969. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and then joined the military where he was a spec ops soldier most of his adult life.
