Scott and Sandi’s wedding

On January 4th
Heaven got much brighter
And those of us on earth
Said goodbye to a brave cancer fighter
I don't really know
Actually I do
Scott was the most liked person I've known
There is no one close at number two
When I see all the photos
His voice fills my ears, tears my eyes
And I got to be honest
What I remember is no surprise
His words just like his actions
Always positive and upbeat
Enthusiasm as he shared his thoughts
Listening to him always a treat
On January 4th
The earth lost a bright light
To those already in heaven
A new star joined the night

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Scott on a project 14 years ago. I always looked up to him and enjoyed the time we worked together. Although there was no formal mentorship, he poured positivity into me and genuinely believed in me. His positive words of encouragement meant a lot then and had a lasting positive effect - I still remember one particular conversation. He was a wonderful man. I'm praying for you and your family.

Oh, Sandi, I had no idea you lost your beautiful beau!!! I know this is a tough time for you, but I'm glad you got to bring in the new year together, and see our country come alive again. Scott was a wonderful man, Jim said. I pray for the both of you, and ask God to wrap His arms around you and hold you close!!! Amen!

Scott was instrumental in starting my career when he recommended hiring me with SAIC in 1999. I worked with him over the next 7 years on Homebase until I left but stayed in touch until a couple years ago. I always thought he was incredibly driven and incredibly intelligent. Always at the forefront of new technologies, I am amazed what he accomplished with his life and career, starting and growing Interclypse. He positively impacted many people and our national security. I am deeply sad of his passing.
