Scott's obituary

There are some people who, once they touch your life, leave a mark that can never be erased. Scott Bradley Black was one of those rare souls—a man of depth, humor, and unshakable loyalty. To know him was to know someone who could see right into your truth and love you more, not less, because of it.

Scott carried a fire inside him: passionate, determined, beautifully human. His laughter could disarm you, his stories could lift a room, and his presence made people feel safe and seen. He had the kind of heart that held pain and beauty side by side—and he never stopped trying to give love, even in his own storms.

Though his life was filled with battles most never saw, Scott showed up for the ones he loved with a quiet kind of bravery. He was a partner, a protector, and in so many ways, a mirror—reflecting back not just who you were, but who you could become.

Losing him has left a silence no words can fully fill. But his impact lives on in every moment of courage, every act of kindness, every belly laugh that erupts when someone tells a story he’d love. Grief is the echo of a great love. And Scott was deeply, profoundly loved.

He may be gone from this world, but he is not gone from us. He is in the music that moves you, the sky that opens up when you need a sign, the strength you didn’t know you had until you had no choice but to find it.

Scott Bradley Black: beloved husband, warrior, dreamer. You are missed every single day. And you are remembered not just in sorrow—but in gratitude, for having loved you at all.
