Scott's obituary

Scott “Pops” Norman Bischof, 55, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with kidney disease. Though he became ill in 2023, Scott fought with strength, determination, and an unwavering spirit until God called him home.

Born and raised in Iowa, Scott spent the majority of his life on the road as a dedicated truck driver before beginning a new chapter as a solder technician at Rockwell. He took great pride in his work, but even more pride in his family. Known affectionately as “Pops,” he was a loving father and an even prouder PaPa, cherishing every moment he spent with his grandchildren.

Scott found joy in the simple things—casting a line while fishing, tinkering with computers or radios, and being surrounded by the people he loved. His warmth, humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Bischof-Eickstaedt, and his father, Norman Bischof Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Kayla Bischof, and son-in-law, Randy; his grandchildren, Carter and RosaMae; and his brother, Cory Bischof.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Scott is missed beyond measure.
