Schelly's obituary
Schelly Ann Mendoza, 64, passed away on January 5, 2026 from complications of a rare form of cancer, surrounded by family in prayer and praise, resting in the promise of her ultimate healing in Heaven.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Mendoza; her daughters, Kelly Tamlin and Shelby Radcliff; her many grandchildren who were incredibly precious to her; her parents, Bob Sinclair and Martha Davies; and her sisters, Shauna Fraas and Synthia Martinez-Vasquez. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Sinclair.
Schelly was known for her love for Christ, bright intellect, her warm presence, and unwavering devotion to her family.
A celebration of life will be held in Tyler, Texas, at Flint Baptist Church on Saturday, January 31, 2026. We will be gathering in the Middle School Building at the far end of the parking lot. Please come prepared to share a story or kind word about Schelly. Children are welcome (Schelly wouldn’t have it any other way!). Please RSVP to Kelly Tamlin (210) 800-2265 as food will be provided.
