Background
I asked it out loud the night we sat together, my family and I, surrounded by old photographs and quiet memories of my dad, SCHEELINGS. His laugh still echoed in those walls, warm and steady, like it refused to leave. For a moment, no one answered. Then I realized… the answer had been there all along.
This fund is important because he was.
SCHEELINGS wasn’t a man of grand speeches or loud recognition. He showed love in quieter ways, helping someone when no one was watching, giving even when he didn’t have much, believing in people before they believed in themselves. Losing him didn’t just leave a space in our lives; it left a space in the world that kindness used to fill.
That’s why this fund exists, to make sure that space doesn’t stay empty.
How will it carry on SCHEELINGS’s legacy?
Not with statues or plaques, but with action. Every donation becomes something he would’ve done himself: a hand extended, a burden eased, a door opened. His legacy wasn’t about what he had,it was about what he gave. And now, through this fund, that giving continues, quietly but powerfully, just like him.
Who will the donations help?
People like the ones he never turned away. Families trying to stay afloat. Young people searching for a chance. Anyone standing at a moment in life where a little help could change everything. The same kind of help he offered without hesitation.
And maybe that’s the most beautiful partmany of them will never know his name, but they will feel his impact.
Anything else you’d like people to know?
Yes.
This isn’t just about remembering a man who’s gone. It’s about continuing the good he started. It’s about choosing kindness on his behalf, over and over again. Because grief doesn’t have to end in silenceit can grow into something that speaks, that reaches, that heals. Contribute
