Savoun Sem, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 31, 2024, in Gilbert, AZ.
Savoun was born on January 3, 1936, in Battambang, Cambodia. In 1980, he emigrated to the United States as a refugee with his five children. Despite starting with very little, he worked diligently as a cook in a local restaurant in Long Beach, CA.
