Sarah Beatrice "Beaty" Dowdy Sessions, age 94 passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Eagle Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Dodge County, grew up in Toombs County and lived in many places until later moving to Statesboro. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wesley Sessions, Jr.; parents, James Marvin Dowdy and Martha Mabel Polk Dowdy; sisters, Ludelia “Delia” Henderson and Mary Sue Dowdy; and brothers, Turner McDermid "Mac" Dowdy and Craig Marvin Dowdy.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances Sessions of Statesboro; son, Walter Wesley (Nancy) Sessions, III of Atmore, AL; sisters, Dorothy Galbreath of Vidalia, Jewel Horne of Greeneville, TN, and Patricia Hahn of Birmingham, AL; brother, James Ray (Callie) Dowdy of Lake City, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held at a later date.

Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Sessions family.
