It is with the deepest sorrow and utmost respect that we announce the passing of Sarah "Sally" Patterson.  Born on January 2, 1949, Sarah gracefully ended her journey of life on October 15, 2023.

A cherished figure in our hearts and community, Sarah leaves behind a rich legacy of love and care. She leaves her  husband, Leland Patterson, to whom she was deeply committed. Her irreplaceable absence will also be keenly felt by her son David Patterson (Berdell DeFonso Patterson) , and her daughter Sandy Steele (Floyd Hostetler) who fondly remember her guidance and warmth.

Adding to the lineage of Sarah's love are her cherished and adoring grandchildren David Patterson Jr. (Ana Ruvalcaba Patterson), Delana (Yoder) Marlet (Dustin Marlet),  Teresa Patterson, Rev Kelly (Steele) Arboleda (Guillermo Arboleda), William C Steele Jr (Lindsey Steele) & great grandsons Eren & Tadashi Patterson.  Their Nana nurtured them with stories, wisdom, and above all, gentle love, creating a bond that transcended generations.  Sarah loved her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  

Sarah is the beloved sister of Suzanne (Rolph) Bell (Roger Bell), Richard Rolph, Linda (Rolph) Baker (Brian Baker) and Cathy (Rolph) Vaughn (Ron Vaughn).

Sarah is predeceased by her father William Rolph, mother Shirley (Weaver) Rolph and brother Robert Rolph.

Sarah had a profound interest in Celtic Music, her soul often resonating with the harmonious chords and rhythms. A keen enthusiast of documentaries, particularly those that delved into history, Sarah found joy and knowledge in every episode. Her heartfelt appreciation for Musicals was ever-present, either humming along to her favorite tunes or clapping enthusiastically at the end of a performance.

A booklover, Sarah found refuge and wisdom in her world of books, often seen engrossed in reading. A person of profound values, she held her family and faith in high regard. Her commitment to these causes has set an inspiring example for all of us.

Her personality was a beautiful blend of love, care, and nurturing. Always ready to offer encouraging words, a comforting hug, or a listening ear, Sarah's loving nature made everyone feel special and cared for, etching an everlasting impression on those fortunate to have crossed paths with her.

Sarah's departure has left a void that will be hard to fill for her family and friends. Her memories, however, will remain in our hearts, reminding us of her devoted love and inspiring us to live by the values she held dear.
