Sarah Miller May 19, 1944 – June 2, 2025
Artist, activist, writer, islander, and beloved Granny, Sarah passed away peacefully in Toronto at 81.
Born in Wellsville, NY, she made Ward’s Island home for over 50 years. Fiercely intelligent and deeply principled, Sarah dedicated her life to creativity, community, and environmental justice.
A longtime advocate at the Canadian Environmental Law Association, she helped shape landmark initiatives including Ontario’s Toxic Reduction Act. In 2016, she received …
