it saddens me to read of Sally's passing. we dated during her time at children's hospital nursing school. i've searched for her often over the years but it looks like i misremembered the name "Ballister" as i remembered it as "Barrister." the bottom left picture is how i remember her.

Sally, you served so many so well and unselfishly! I know you continue to do. Good works!

Sally was a gift to humankind. I feel very fortunate to have gotten to know her, to have become true friends with her, to go door knocking with her, to go drumming with her (my first time), to share ups and downs with her over the past 7+ years, to hear how she managed a life full of joys and sorrows, the loss of her husband too soon, her time in the Peace Corps as the only English-speaking person in a remote village in Central America, the joy and pride she had for her daughter, are all things that I treasure. Though she moved far away, she was off to live out her dream. I am so glad she was able to do that.
I will always miss her. And I am so sorry for her family and for all of us.
