Page 1 IN MEMORIAM
Mrs. Sarah Francis Garrison, who was recently killed by a Q. & C. freight train at Moreland was 83 years and nine months old. She was the mother of 13 children, 62 grand-children, and 44 great grand-children. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Price T. Smith at the Union church, after which her body was laid to rest in Hustonville cemetery, followed by a large circle of friends. She was converted 48 years ago and had since been a member of the M. E. church, South. The following members of her family were present at the services: Joe Garrison, Danville; Willis Garrison, Pineville, Mattie Beasley, Lexington, Georgie Burkett, Moreland. The other members of the family, who were absent on the sad occasion are: James Garrison, Florida, Mesdames Lizzie Karion, Ohio; Mary Hammer, Alice Kunker, Mattie Shiplett, of Virginia, and Catherine Fletcher, of London, England. May the distantly scattered members of this large family all be prepared to meet the good old chritian mother in the better world. Her pastor, Price T. Smith.
