Sarah's obituary
Sarah Beverly Ann Miller was born on December 6, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the fifth child out of seven children and the only girl born to John and Muriel Miller. Sarah was named after her fraternal grandmother, Sarah Nancy Brown Miller. Sarah soon became known as Sis.
Sarah excelled academically, studied classical piano, and ran track in high school, graduating from Holy Angeles Catholic School in Kinloch, Missouri and from St. Thomas Aquinas high school in Florissant, Missouri. She received a scholarship to the Engineering School at Washington University studying Mechanical Engineering, and became a member of the Society of Black Engineers.
In 1978 she married Jeffery Moore, Sr. and gave birth to her son, Jeffery Moore Jr. In 1996 she moved to Detroit and spent many years at Chrysler as a “Facilities Engineer”. She met Mark Hinebaugh her spouse and lifelong partner in 2011, who took care of her until she succumbed to a long illness.
She preceded by her parents John and Muriel, and brothers Gordon, John (Jack), and Louis. She was survived by her son Jeffery, granddaughter Kayla, brothers Michael, Kenneth (Joey) and Thomas (Marty), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
