Helping hands

In lieu of flowers

In lieu of flowers, consider a gift to Sarah Bailey Memorial Fund.
Sarah was definitely one of a kind: brilliant smile and contagious laugh, crazy smart, the quickest wit, in love with her family, a maker and lover of all expressions of beauty. Sarah was passionate, about the widest range of things...
...the flowers she put into her creative and beautiful altar arrangements, how & where she found them and for how much under budget,
...dreaming about and planning the gardens she and my husband Lonnie were planting and what to do about getting fresh corn, peas, okra, tomatoes if their gardens didn’t produce,
...glorious hymns and orchestral music
...her family and the retelling of stories about her three beloved children, her parents, siblings and extended family.

She loved extravagantly and could get stomping mad about things, too...”O, for the love!!” She’d say. That says it all, and I’ve taken that phrase for myself. It reminds me of Sarah.

Sarah loved to cook good food, talk about good food (me, too), and enjoyed eating good food, especially in the company of friends and family. I’ll miss her special laugh, the twinkle in her eyes, her deviled eggs, long chats past the time for bed, shared meals, singing, sharing hurts and hopes. I’m grateful, Sarah, for your friendship, and I look forward to our next long chat in Glory! See you soon! — Mary
This song always reminds me of Mom because I remember her singing it when we were kids.

Hunter, Hannah, & Della my heart and prayers are with all of you. Sarah became my friend many years ago as I was her hygienist...I always loved her love of family, life itself and her endless joy and laughter. We shared a love of gardening and reading and she always inspired me to do more. She shared her passion for singing, arts, church with me always but you three were her greatest blessings....she loved sharing stories of her family, growing up, trips to NY in the summer to visit her brothers farm and all the fun you had together there. She will always hold a special place in my life and heart. Godspeed Sarah.
