It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Sara Burroughs (Bush), on February 3, 2025, in Waldorf, Maryland. She was born on April 9, 1952 to James and Catherine Bush. She was raised with her siblings, Bill, Joshanna, James, Jr., and Terra. Sara brought warmth and compassion to those around her throughout her life.

She leaves behind her children, Eddie (Kimberly), Jason, and Sheila(Jay), as well as her grandchildren, Camden, Kincade, Coleton, Karaganne, Kenslee, Avery, Declan, and Padraic, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. 

Sara loved her job working in food service for Charles County Public Schools.  She began working at JP Ryon Elementary in 1988. She retired as the food service manager at Dr. Brown Elementary in 2010.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Sara's honor on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the American Legion Post 82 Harry White Wilmer located at 6330 Crain Hwy, La Plata, MD 20646. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a remarkable woman who will continue to inspire us with her legacy of love and kindness.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
