What a shock, my heart is so sad! I don’t remember a time Sara & I were not friends. Growing up in Shultz Sub. In Clinton together. Actually there were 4 girlfriend's  Sara (April), LaVerne (March), Dale (Jan.) & myself (Feb.)! Friends through childhood all born the same year.  During our childhood we would leave to play outside in the morning, go home for lunch & leave again until dinner!  We played baseball in Uncle Buck’s field, made fort’s in Charlie’s woods, ran through neighbor’s yards, rode bikes , went to Surrattsville Jr. High & HS teen club and we had FUN!  We remained friends as we married & aged. I will miss our time together old friend! Rest easy until we meet again. Patty Carroll Lubin
This news has come as a shock. To her family, I'm so sorry for your loss, and really, all of our loss. Sara -- mom, grandma, sister, best friend, companion, favorite co-worker, crafter, cook, comedian. She was many things. I'll always think of her as someone I felt like I had known forever from the moment I met her. I loved her ability to shake things off, her laugh and how she'd light up when talking about her family. And how she'd let me know she was keeping tabs on my kids by dropping a heart or like on my Facebook posts. She had a great sense of humor, too. We'll miss you Sara, truly. Thanks for being a part of my and Dan's life, my dad's life and my children's lives. Sending love and light to the family. Time spent with you was precious. Thank you for everything.

Sara was my best friend and patient companion for over 25 years. She was an incredible person, and I’ll always be grateful for the years we shared. Eddie, Jason, Sheila, and the grandchildren, you were her pride and joy. My heart is heavy for all of you and the entire family. Sara, I’ll miss you more than words can say. You made the world a better place and Heaven has gained an angel.

Sara, we did so much together as kids in our Clinton neighborhood , and through the years 'til we both graduated from Surrattsville High School in 1970.  You were one of my first friends, and standout  for being part of all those good outdoor adventures ,  and your kind and calm personality.  You certainly made my life richer.  I'm sure that your family and others who knew you over the years feel the same.  You'll always be in my memory.

My time at Dr. Brown was always made better because Sara was there to keep things running smoothly as she nurtured & fed all those hundreds of students. And staff members. The teachers were always “ in a hurry” to get lunch & eat within  a short period of time….but Sara was our steady buddy & always helped us as quickly as possible  and served us with her smile and caring nature. We loved you Sara & pray you are enjoying “ being served” in your new heavenly home.

Sarah and I worked together in food service . I would meet her at hobby lobby sometime as she did crafts as well. I had missed her for awhile.
