Sara's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sara Esperanza Bachleitner, born on December 12th, 1984, who left us on July 28, 2023. A radiant spirit and a joy to all who knew her, Sara will be profoundly missed.
Sara is survived by her father, Richard Bachleitner, mother, Amparo Rodriguez, sister, Sofia Bachleitner, niece, Esperanza Bachleitner, Abuela Keti, and many extended relatives and friends around the world. The void left by her passing is insurmountable, but the love and memories she leaves behind will live forever in their hearts.
We remember Sara as a zealous scholar. She graduated with a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2006, and she later obtained a Master of Arts in the same field from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2012. Her passion for the Spanish language and its culture seeped into her teaching career, where her knowledge and enthusiasm created an engaging learning environment for her students.
Sara's personality was as vibrant as it was infectious. She was witty, fun, caring, and full of life. Sara had an infectious one-of-a-kind laugh. Always quick with a laugh or a joke, she brought joy and positivity to every room she entered. Spain, her favorite place on earth, reflected her love for life and culture. Her dream came true when she was able to reside and teach in Spain for six years. She loved the vast culture, people, food, music, and all Spain had to offer, including her mini pool, which she was so proud of. Spain was always her happy place.
Her number one love was being the best Tita to her beloved niece, Esperanza, who was lovingly named after her. Esperanza was a huge piece of Sara’s heart. Some of Sara’s favorite outings were with her sweet niece. Whether it was going swimming at a pool or Lannon Quarry, walking around Veteran’s Park, or bike riding, all of Sara’s favorite places, and pastimes, they were two peas in a pod with many of the same interests. Garfield was the big one. She loved her niece so much, and she would rant, rave, and brag about her sweet, sweet Anci.
A celebration of life will be held on August 26, 2023, at Foxbrook Park at 1:00 PM, followed by a repast at the same location at 3:00 PM. Her legacy of love, humor, and kindness will be remembered as we gather to pay tribute to her life.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up in Sara's memory. Contributions can be made at her GoFundMe. Your generosity and support during this difficult time are greatly appreciated.
Words fall short of capturing Sara's essence. Nevertheless, we take solace in recalling her accomplishments, her vibrant ways, and the unforgettable moments we were fortunate to share with her. We mourn, but we also celebrate Sara Esperanza Bachleitner - a beloved family member, a dedicated teacher, and a dear friend.
