Sanford's obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Sanford Yarn, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Sanford was born on June 8, 1929, and left this world on April 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Sanford is survived by his devoted wife of 74 years, Alice Yarn, as well as his children; Ronda James-Yarn, Robert Yarn, Wardell Yarn, Loraine Hines, and Willie Yarn. His memory will live on through them, as well as his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sanford was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Vera Yarn, his siblings Hattie, Charlotte, and Joyce Yarn, as well as his children Sanford Yarn Jr., Johnnie Yarn, and Earl Yarn. His love and devotion to family will forever be cherished by those he left behind.

In 1947, Sanford began his career in the Army, where he displayed unwavering commitment and dedication. After his service, he continued to support fellow veterans and their families throughout his life. In 1949, Sanford married his loving wife, Alice Yarn, and together they built a strong, devoted family that will carry on his legacy.

Sanford Yarn will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His unwavering love and dedication to his family, as well as his kindness and generosity to all, will forever be remembered in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
