Sanford “Butch” J. Haines Sr. of Reedsport passed away in his home at the age of 78 on Saturday January 9th. Butch was born December 1st, 1942 in Tacoma, Washington to Jennie B. and Myron A. Haines. After proudly serving in the Army, he worked in the timber industry - mainly in Washington and Oregon. The majority of his career he worked as a forklift operator for Bohemia Lumber in Reedsport.
