Sandra's obituary

Sandra Elizabeth Wyrosdick was born to Marguerite and Albert Pope on January 2, 1937 in Adrian, Georgia. She walked through the gates of heaven on May 5, 2024. Sandy lived vivaciously in service to others with a focus on loving and supporting her husband, Jearl. Sandy’s selfless service to others epitomizes Christ love and service to others.

Sandy's caring nature extended beyond her immediate family as she was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, gardening, writing, and serving her creator.

After graduating from Walton High School in 1955, Sandy embarked on a fulfilling career as both a homemaker and a business owner. She found purpose in taking care of her family and nurturing her relationships with her loved ones.

For 61 years, Sandy found solace and community at Wallace Baptist Church, where she worshiped and found spiritual guidance.

In her free time, Sandy enjoyed traveling, camping, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her generous spirit and warm personality endeared her to all who knew her.

Services to celebrate Sandy's life will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Wallace Baptist Church. The visitation is scheduled at 1:00 pm, with services to follow at 3:00 pm. Sandy will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering love for her family.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Jearl Wyrosdick; her sons, Tim (Vanessa) and Paul (Rhonda) Wyrosdick; grandchildren: Parker, Taylor (Sarah), Hunter (Brooke), Ethan (Danielle), McKenna (Kyle), and Jared (Rebekah); along with her great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Sandra. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Lynn Wyrosdick and son, Dr. Clifton Craig Wyrosdick. Sandy's legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
