Thinking of you my friend and knowing I won't be able to exchange birthday wishes with you this year (your birthday the 26th and mine the 27th). Know that although you are gone, you are not forgotten, as you continued to RIP. #missinyou

Swan was such a wonderful soul. I knew her as my wife’s best friend from 30 years ago. We all hung out around the city in New York back then.
If you knew her she would call you on your birthday, EVERY YEAR! She did that for the 3 decades I knew her.
A couple of months ago, I overheard my wife saying it was Swan’s birthday so I returned the favor and called her.. “Kofi is calling me?” She exclaimed and let out one of her boisterous laughs.
She was at a NY Yankees’ game at the time, she really loved the Yankees. They were playing the Mets at the time in Queens she had said, She went on about about how the Yankees were doing this year, including very detailed stats on her favorite players.
That would be the last time we spoke.
The Conduah family of Atlanta mourns with your family and offer our deepest condolences at this difficult time.
May she rest in perfect peace.

Swan, I have not been the same since I heard the news of your passing. You never forgot a birthday, I would often see a greeting at midnight that would often remind me of my birthday. Sometimes surprise card, lottery ticket or package would arrive in the mail from you.
I think of all the times we shared in New York, working at Daffy’s, dancing at the Pulse, shopping along 34th street, going to the restaurants in Soho. When my daughter was born you came to the delivery room at St. Lukes, with the food I craved and later came to Atlanta to cheer me up when I was put on bedrest with my son.
You loved your family, playing the lottery, New York City, Juniors cheesecake, and the Yankees. I remember that gorgeous smile and even when life seemed gloomy, you always had something positive to say.
My awesome friend, you will be forever in my heart.
