Sandra R. Swanberg, 60, of Otho passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be 10:30 AM Thursday, January 13. 2022 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sandy is survived by her husband Lon of Otho, daughter Stephanie (Aaron Swanson) Swanberg of Fort Dodge, son Matt (Shanda Marie Donahe) Swanberg of Farnhamville, grandchildren Kole McMannus, Treyton Swanberg, Finley Swanberg, Hunter Swanson, and Tyce Swanberg; siblings, Dean (Stacey Mericle) Peterson of Callender, Lori (Todd) Locke of Fort Dodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alan and Nancy (Moses) Peterson, daughter Brandi Swanberg, and infant brothers Michael and Danny Peterson.
Sandra Rae Peterson was born December 10, 1961 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. On December 16, 1977 she was united in marriage to Lon Swanberg. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge and later Otho. Through the years, Sandy worked for Starlight, Trinity Regional Medical Center, and Friendship Haven. She was always there for her family, kids and grandkids whenever the needed her. Sandy was a wonderful cook. Her family was her life. She was always cleaning her house and loved her Mountain Dew.
