Sandra's obituary

Sandy went home to Jesus on July 24, 2021 at age 74.

Sandy was born to E.P. and Edna Phillips on February 5, 1947 in Selma, Alabama. As a child, Sandy grew up in The Church of the Nazarene with her parents every Sunday. She always bragged how she was the second fastest runner at her high school. 

Sandy met her husband, Fred T. Hight, Jr. in January 1973 in Montgomery, Al while they were both living there. They married on August 25, 1973 and went on to have two children, Daniel E. Hight and Susanne A. (Gil) Rustin.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Sandy also loved her extended family, church activities, crafting, floral work, cooking, . [favorite activities]. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Over the last eight years, she has read her Bible through seven times, on a read-your-bible-in-a-year program. She loved her Bible, she loved the Lord, her family and her church.

Sandy joins her parents, E.P. and Edna Phillips, and her sister Susan and brother-in-law Ronald Haugen in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, of 48 years, Fred T Hight Jr, son Danny Hight and his boys Nathan and Nicholas, her daughter Susanne, husband Gil and daughters Elisabeth and Kate Rustin... ...[list of family members who are still alive].
