Sandra's obituary
Sandra Nock, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, in her Merritt Island, Florida home — the place where she created so many cherished memories — surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sandra’s life was marked by resilience, love, and quiet strength. She graduated from St. Peter’s Catholic School as class president and at the top of her class academically. Because of her hard work in the classroom, Sandra was offered a scholarship to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh — a testament to her intelligence and ambition. Though family obligations kept her from attending college, her devotion to family remained the guiding force in her life.
At the age of 18, Sandra married her husband, Robert Nock. Together, they built a beautiful life over 61 years of marriage. They raised a family rooted in perseverance, love, and kindness. Sandra was the steady foundation — the rock upon which her family was built — a constant source of strength, love, and wisdom. She raised four children and later welcomed seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her pride in her family was boundless, and her influence has left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Sandra fought valiantly to the very end, embodying the same pride, strength, and spirit that defined her life. Though her passing is deeply felt, her family is profoundly grateful for the time, love, and lessons she shared. They are all better for having known her, and her memory will be a source of strength for generations to come.
Sandra lived with pride, fought with courage, and loved with all her heart — and that is how she will be remembered. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the lasting impact she made on our hearts.
In honor of Sandra’s life and spirit, donations may be made in her memory to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition or to Brevard County Health First’s Hospice Care.
A service announcement will follow.
A tribute written with love by Ethan Nock.
