Sandy's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra "Sandy" (Fortugno) Morin, who left us on March 25, 2025. Born on December 15, 1949, Sandy touched many lives with her empathetic spirit, enlivened with a sassy spark.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her loving husband, Peter Morin; her daughter, Michelle Lambert; two cherished granddaughters, Anneliese and Vivianna Lambert; and her sisters, Janice Ledoux and Lorraine Fortugno.
Sandy was predeceased by her father, Guy Fortugno, her mother Viola (Scesny) Fortugno, her sister Viola Ciofi, her sister Betty Ingerson, her brother Guy Fortugno, and her nephews Christopher Fortugno and Dean Ingerson.
The family chain continues with Sandy's surviving nieces and nephews, Samantha Gamanche, Nicki Ingerson, Rick Ledoux, Diana Ledoux, and Sherri Ingerson. Their lives were enriched by their beloved Aunt Sandy's love and guidance.
Sandy was a true testament to kindness and empathy. Her achievements truly lay in the realms of the personal. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her daughter and granddaughters, particularly when they baked cookies together at Christmas and when she attended their sporting and school events. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and doing puzzles among many other things.
Her professional life was marked by decades of service in the nursing field, a testament to her caring nature. Moreover, her commitment to her alma mater, Clinton High School, was demonstrated through her active alumni work.
Sandy’s legacy is one of unconditional love and devotion. She was always there for her friends and family without hesitation. As we remember Sandy, we are reminded of the profound impact one caring and committed soul can have on the world. Rest in peace, dear Sandy. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
