Sandra's obituary
In Loving Memory of Sandra Lou Larson
Born on January 11, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas, Sandra Lou Larson was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many. She passed away surrounded by family on November 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, care, and laughter.
Sandra was a proud mother to Jakob Bullard and a cherished grandmother to Jinx and Olivia Bullard, whom she adored. She was also a beloved sister to Donna and Russel Larson, with whom she shared countless memories. Educated at Whitney High and later at the University of Texas MCC, she dedicated 42 years to her career as a labor and delivery nurse. Her work in the NICU and delivery rooms was more than a job—it was a calling that inspired all who knew her.
Sandra found a spiritual home at Cowboy Church in Henrietta, Texas. Her fondest memories included standing on the rim of the Grand Canyon with her mother, laughing together at the sheer wonder of the “big hole in the ground.”
Sandra found joy in life’s simple pleasures: music, food, family, and her hobbies of gaming, crocheting, sewing, and reading. Her favorite places included Tokyo, Japan; Taos, New Mexico; and Durango, Colorado, where she felt a connection to nature and peace.
She drew inspiration from her son, her daughter-in-law Chesney Bullard, and her precious grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy. Sandra Lou Larson will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the warmth she shared with all around her. Her love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
