Sandra was a loved by many. She was born in Alabama but came to Dayton shortly after marrying her first husband, Melvin Jacko. She was given away by her mother and sister who both later died. Sandra decided to get a degree in nursing at Sinclair in Downtown, Dayton. She and Melvin had a daughter, Rhonda Sims 42 shortly before Melvin passed away in their home.
