Sandra's obituary

Sandra Sue Daniels (63) and her precious little Bitties (~16) of Springfield, MO left from their work assignment in Newman Grove, NE, and entered the gates of heaven together on Thanksgiving Day, November 25th, 2021.

Although our beloved 'Hoinees' began her worldly adventure on May 10th, 1958 in Decatur, Illinois; Springfield, Missouri always was and always will be her hometown. Sandra married young and bore 4 children to that union. She spent the majority of her maternal years as a military spouse, completing 2 tours in Germany and countless other duty station assignments. In 1995, she found her calling, and enrolled in Nursing school.
Caring for others was Sandra's purpose in life, and she did so selflessly, treating every patient with dignity and compassion. Likewise, she had a propensity for listening, and was able to relate to just about anyone, putting their inner struggles into perspective, and helping them to gain an insight that would ultimately lead to a journey of self awareness. She found her solitude in fishing and was always up for a good arrowhead hunt. She loved a good debate, and a little friendly competition. But when it came to her Rams, she could trash talk with the best of them!
Sandra truly inspired everyone around her to think about their place in this world and the affect that they had on the people encountered while on it.
Sandra was preceeded in death by her two infant sons Travis James and David Allen Daniels; her parents, Luther Leroy Deckard of Springfield, MO and Doris June Rowden of Strafford, MO; her baby sister Peggy Ann Owen's of Mack's Creek, MO; her baby brother Dale Wayne Deckard and her Nephew Chad Ray Long, both of Springfield, MO, and two of her cherished fur-babies, Sweets, and Blue Dog.
Sandra is survived by her two daughters Rikki Lynn Daniels of Van Buren, MO and Layla Michelle Garton and husband Ronald Keith Garton Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; her little sister Dena Lee Lackey, her little brother Luther Eugene Deckard, both of Springfield, MO; seven grand-children and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Our beloved Hoinees had such a profound impact on those that knew her and will leave behind a legacy nearly big enough to fill the hole that her sudden departure has left in our hearts, may she and her precious little Bitties rest in peace.
