Sandra Parker Brown, 77, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2021. She peacefully passed away at Halifax Health Hospice Care in Orange City, Florida. She was born on April 12, 1944, in Springfield MA, the daughter of Kenneth P. Brown and Muriel H. (Gero) Brown.
In 1962, she graduated from Deland High School. Sandra was a hard-working woman who was blessed with many good jobs throughout the years. On September 5, 1976, she married the love of her life, John Wilton Brown, Sr. The Lord blessed them with 45 years of marriage and five children. John Brown, Jr (Becky), Keith Brown (Brenda), Randy Gomon, Monica Simmons (Donald), and Scott Brown (Nicole). They were also blessed with ten grandchildren. Ellene, Josh, David, Daniel, TJ, Seth, Mandy, Destiny, Selah, and Joseph.
Sandra was a kind and generous person, always willing to help others, especially her family and friends. Although she dearly loved her children and grandchildren, everyone knew her little dog Mikey was her favorite. Throughout her lifetime, Sandra enjoyed participating in beauty pageants. She started competing in them when she was a child and after competing, she went on to be a judge for 25 years. All who knew her knew she loved shopping (especially thrift stores), getting manicures and pedicures, and spending as much time at the beach as she could.
Although we rejoice to know that she is in heaven and that we will see her again one day, she will be sorely missed by her husband John, who loved her dearly, and her family and friends.
A private memorial will be held at the discretion of the family.
